Remember a few months back I had bought Iraya Products from Jabong.com????? No ????Anyways I ordered this Hastapad Rakshak Cream from Iraya (Funny name eh!!!! Its hands and feet balm) and now I have used it enough to share my thoughts on it.

Iraya Hastha Pad Rakshak( hands and feet Balm) – ‘protector of hands and feet’ is made exactly as per the age-old Ayurveda recipe and is extremely beneficial for chapped hands and feet and for healing cracks. A powerful cream, it penetrates even the roughest skin patches, smoothening and softening them, and brings essential nourishment to your skin. Highly recommended for healing problem areas like elbows, knees and feet..

Usage: Soak hands and feet for 5 minutes in warm water; follow with Exfoliating Scrub from Iraya. Then gently massage the hands and feet Balm and leave on overnight. As the Balm’s special colour could stick to clothes, it is recommended that you wear socks after application.

My Experience With  Iraya hands and feet Balm (Hastapad Rakshak)

This hands and feet balm comes in a very attractive glass jar with a silver lid. It looks great but is not travel friendly. The cream has a balm like texture and has a coffee cream color. It has medicinal and not fancy fragrance, but does not bother, as it fades away in few minutes.

As mentioned above, you have to soak your hands and feet in warm water and scrub them, I don’t have the exfoliating scrub from Iraya, hence I use the Fab India face and body scrub for the purpose.

Apply this cream and leave overnight and you will notice a remarkable difference in just one usage. Honestly I feel that wearing socks is not required if you are not comfortable, as I have not noticed any transferring of the product on my bed linens but it’s always a good practice to cover your feet as it enhances the product’s performance. The balm feels like some BB cream to me ….funny observation but yes it does not absorb instantly, in fact it forms a thin film of wax over the skin making it look smooth and even. It is not sticky or uncomfortable as it is very light. Even if you wash your hands instantly, you will not experience any stickiness which generally happens with creams!

Coming to the results, I have already mentioned that the results are evident from the first use itself. I don’t have dry hands ( thanks to my hand and nail creams Read here and here) but I sometimes become lazy and tend to ignore my feet , in turn making them dry, especially the heel area. But the use of this balm takes care of the dryness in flat two days making my feet soft and beautiful.

My mum was suffering from cracked heels a few months back and tried a few creams which did not work in her favor. I asked her to try this cream and she fell “head over Heels in love” with it. It repaired her deep cracks in exact 6 days!!!!! Her feet were smooth like a baby so yes I can assure you that it works on deep cracks as well!

I don’t use this cream regularly as I don’t need it but whenever I experience slight dryness of feet, This is my go to cream and I use it directly even without soaking my feet and it takes care of the problem. If you have dry skin you can very well use it everyday.
