A natural hair cream full of goodness, Himalaya’s Protein Hair Cream nourishes the hair root and shaft. Its specially formulated ingredients strengthen hair, promote hair growth and leave your hair soft and looking shiny.

Protein Hair Cream nourishes your hair with natural proteins derived from ingredients like Wheatgerm and Chickpea, while Indian Gooseberry and Thistles promote hair growth.

 Key ingredients:

a) Indian Gooseberry, a natural hair tonic used extensively in Ayurveda, is an effective ingredient for treating the hair and scalp. It prevents dandruff, strengthens hair follicles and promotes hair growth. It also acts as an antioxidant.

b) Chickpea, a natural source of proteins, effectively nourishes hair, making it healthy and strong.

c) Thistle strengthens the hair root and prevents hair fall.

Directions for use: (as mentioned on their website)

Massage gently on scalp in a circular motion before and after shampooing.

Best for dry, lifeless hair and hair loss. Safe to use on artificially colored or permed hair.

My Experience With Himalaya Protein Hair Cream

As this is packed in a tub, the packaging makes the usage a little unhygienic as I don’t like dipping my fingers repeatedly into it. And on doing such a thing a little hair got into it which really made me puke literally!!! The fragrance is a little strong too but not unbearable.

Coming to the part how it was on my hair. Well it’s a nice heavy moisturising cream that really leaves a cooling feel on the scalp and nourishes both the scalp and hair.

This can be used on your hair and scalp so I massaged the cream well one hour before washing my hair. As I applied the cream it did make my hair shiny, soft and it helped detangle my hair. It’s more like a conditioner for my hair that I apply few hours before washing. I apply this cream 2-3 times in a week and have seen considerable changes in the quality of my hair.

After washing my hair I did get soft manageable and healthy looking hair. It didn’t stop my hair fall though. Have to look for something really strong to stop my hair fall.

If I apply this cream on washed hair, it turns my hair shiny but also makes my thin straight hair flat and all the volume disappears! On the other hand my husband who has short, dry and thick hair loved this cream completely. He used this as a type of gel and as he says it gives the “out of the shower” look!

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- It’s a great cream that can be applied few hours before your hair wash. I did see that it made my lifeless hair soft and of a better quality. I wasn’t expecting it to work this good. I am happy and more than me my husband found it really amazing.

  1. Hey, my hair is very dry, lacklustre and lifeless. Wanted to know if someone with my hair type has used this product and if it has been helpful?

    1. This product does help in improving your kind of hair texture, but I still suggest oiling your hair at least twice a week to deep condition your hair.
