H2o Plus Sea Moss Black Sand Body Scrub: Review & Swatches

Ummmmmmmm!!!!!How do I start, I have nothing to say and I cant wait to share an amazing experience with you all, so let’s jump on to another h2o product review quickly. H2O’S, The black sand body scrub. While searching for h2o products this was a common name that clicked shivi and me together because it sounded quite interesting. So here is the review for you gurls.

WHAT H2O CLAIMS: Micro-fine black sand derived from cooled lava gently exfoliates dull, dry skin.

Irish Moss blends with sea salt, aloe vera and provitamin B to deeply hydrate, soothe and revitalize.

Hints of fresh water lily and lush marine accords lightly scent the skin!

Key elements:

Irish Moss: A species of red algae which grows abundantly along the rocky parts of the Atlantic coast of Europe and North America. Rich in iodine and sulfur, Irish Moss is mainly composed of the polysaccharide carrageenan, 10% protein and about 15% mineral matter.

Water Lily: An aquatic plant with floating leaves and flowers that grows in the water of ponds. It has anti-oxidant, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Black Sand: A natural exfoliant, volcanic black sand is found in Polynesian lagoons and islands. Micro-fine particles are part of natural process of lava erupting onto a shallow sea floor, rapidly cools and shatters into sand and rubble. Black sand beaches occur when hot lava meets sea water.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH H2O SEA MOSS BLACK SAND BODY SCRUB

This scrub comes in a black tube packaging with a very convenient flip cap. It is moss green in color. The consistency is just perfect. It’s neither thick nor runny. The black sand particles are quite visible along with micro exfoliating particles which make the base of this scrub. The smell cannot be defined but it’s mild and does not linger on for a long time.

Performance wise this product is a “HERO”. I have used a lot of body washes and scrubs but none have impressed me so much.

You have to use this on a moist skin and very little quantity is required. The exfoliators literally feel like sand and are a bit harsh( sensitive skin be aware),  but my normal skin prefer harsh scrubs for body, the mild ones just don’t work for me. I do not use a loofah to use this scrub, I use my hands instead in circular motion but am cautious and don’t go overboard with scrubbing otherwise would end up having a bruised skin.

While using it dries up quickly so always use on a moist skin. It even lathers so no need for a separate body wash because it does a good job at cleansing, however I follow it up with the h20 plus body wash from the same range. It also comes of easily.

The scrub really gives amazing results. After the very first wash the skin feels transformed. It feels soft, silky and polished. It did not dry up my skin at all. The results are no less than what you achieve at the spa!!!

TURN ON: H2O SEA MOSS Black Sand Body Scrub

1)This removes dead skin effectively.

2) Does not make the skin dry.

3) Polishes the skin well.

4) Contains sea derived extracts. (Those have anti-oxidant, soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.)

5) No animal testing done.

6) Works great as a body wash as well 🙂

TURN OFF: H2O Black Sand Body Scrub

1) It is Pricey. (But again a good quantity is provided)

2) Fragrance is short lived. Some people like to have a lingering smell for a while. For them this didn’t provide any extended/ lingered smell.

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- I am totally in love with this scrub because it’s just perfect for me. It exfoliates without being too gentle or too harsh on the skin.
