H2o Plus Marine Calm Hydrating Face Complex for Normal, Sensitive Skin: Review & Swatches

So here I have come up with my last H2O Plus sample review. I have already reviewed H2o Plus Marine Calm Cleanser and Marine Calm Toner  in the past. Click on the links to read the full review. All these product are sensitive skin tested!

Sea Kelp Extracts :Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes present in seaweeds, are potent antioxidants help to heal and rejuvenate skin. Working together, vitamins A and C help maintain healthy collagen production. Phytonutrients present in ocean vegetables also help increase blood flow making skin supple, smooth and radiant.

Japanese Green Tea : This ancient tea leaf infuses the skin with superior antioxidant protection. Remarkably high concentrations of Vitamin A provide a virtual shield against damage caused by environmental stressors.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH H20 PLUS MARINE CALM FACE COMPLEX

I have liked the packaging of the H2O marine calm range a lot. They are travel friendly and the little amount of the product goes a long way. Today, I put to the test, the “Marine Calm Hydrating Face Complex”, a moisturer specially formulated for sensitive, troubled skin!

It’s packed in a sea green grayish bottle with a pump dispenser which is tight enough to hold the moisturizer intact. We need to press the pump at the top to get the required product. On pressing it, comes out one dollop, two dollops you will need to cover the face and neck.  It is white in color and of perfect consistency (neither too thick, nor too runny). The spreadibility is good too as it sinks into the skin easily and quickly.

I like how it feels on my skin. It gives a matte finish to my oily skin which my skin likes! It’s calm and soothing. Regular usage has improved my skin texture as well. It didn’t cause any irritation on my already sensitive skin and was gentle on those little bumps which appear monthly and can’t be avoided.

It’s for normal skin type and I have oily skin, still I dint feel any difficulty apart from the fact that it did make my skin oily after exact 2.5 hours (during winters). So I am guessing that a person with normal skin and dry skinned during summers with sensitive skin would love this and maybe declare it as their holy grail.

My basic concern was the smell of this lotion. On spreading it over my face I realised that it has a nice smell like that of the marine calm face wash but to my horror that fragrance got changed into an egg like smell! I have super sensitive nose and I could smell it everywhere..lol

While driving, while cooking and also passing by my friends, who asked me if I am trying an egg DIY hair mask for the blog! (ROFL)…So girls! That means the smell is strong…quite strong!!!

TURN OFF: H20 Plus MARINE CALM FACE COMPLEX

1)    Super expensive, a real pricey stuff! 🙁

2)    Would not suit oily skin during summers.

3)    The smell of it put me off!

“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- I loved the marine calm face wash and toner, but this somehow didn’t impress me much. It’s great for sensitive skin for that I can vouch, as I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t take nonsense from anybody! But people with sensitive nose would not appreciate the smell.
