Hello Everyone,
I have been blessed with the most stupid combination of oily scalp and dry hair. I really get a hard time deciding which shampoo to buy. Shampoos meant for dry hair make my scalp oilier and the ones for oily hair make my hair dry you know what I mean …..Finally I decided to resort to mild cleansers and wash my hair every day.
Product Description:These gently cleansing shampoos with Amla Juice, Ritha, Soya protein, Coconut Oil and herbal infusions give natural shine, swing and fragrance. Our shampoos, based on Ayurvedic formulae, are free from harsh sulphate cleansers. Coconut oil helps keep hair healthy, promotes hair growth and enhances shine. Reetha contains Saponin, used in preparation of quality Ayurvedic shampoos. It gives a natural colour and silky feel to the hair, removes excess oil and promotes hair growth. Soya Protein promotes moisture retention and has mild cleansing properties. Bhringraj is excellent for hair growth, strengthens the hair and nourishes and prevents dandruff. Shikakai fruit is popularly referred as “fruit for the hair” as it has a naturally mild pH that gently cleans the hair without stripping it of natural oils and encourages strong hair roots. Heena provides conditioning, natural shine as well as strength to the roots of hair. Madurai Jasmine and Mogra have a delicate sensuous fragrance. Combinations of gentle plant-derived cleansing agents, adjusted to the hair’s natural PH, contain Phytokeratin with rehydrating and strengthening properties.
Product Benefits:Forest Essentials Hair Cleansers are specifically designed to cleanse your hair without any harmful after effects. Bhringraj, Reetha and Henna are well known in Ayurveda for hair. Actives from herbs like henna and thyme along with Lecithin provide natural cleansing with moisture and smoothness to make your hair clean with shine and manageability. Natural soap of Reetha gently cleanses the dirt and excess oil from hair. Ingredients like Bay leaf oil and Bhringraj act as hair tonics to promote hair growth.
How to use: Take small amount and massage into wet hair for one to two minutes. Rinse well. Use once again if required. Rinse well till water runs clear. Follow with conditioner.
USP: Herbs are extracted following the method prescribed in Ayurveda for better potency • Natural derived cleansers are used instead of Sulfates • They are free from petrochemicals, animal products, PEGs, synthetic colours, alcohol and parabens, in keeping with the tradition of Ayurveda.
Price & Quantity: 250 for 50ml (First I buy travel packs to try and make up my mind), Rs. 775 for 200 ml
SHELF LIFE IN THE PIC ABOVE 🙂
My Experience With Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser Madurai Jasmine & Mogra
First of all I would say that this shampoo earns brownie points because it is sulphate and paraben free. These are the devils behind all our hair problems. If that wasn’t enough, it contains goodness of natural ingredients such as coconut oil, bhringraj, reetha ,heena, shikakai ( all these remind me of my grandma and her beautiful tresses….she used to wash her hair with amla, reetha, shikakai pack)
This shampoo comes in a classy plastic bottle with a golden cap. The shampoo is honey colored and has a runny consistency. It has a divine fragrance of jasmine and mogra which is also helpful in releasing stress. The fragrance lingers for around a day. It is slightly strong but very pleasant.
Now coming to the cleansing part, this shampoo lathers fairly well and cleanses very effectively. It’s very mild and gentle. It comes off easily with water. It helps to get rid of the oil on my scalp easily without drying my hair which is a perfect and rare combination for me. It does not make my scalp itchy and leaves my hair clean, shiny, soft and smelling awesome. However, since this is very mild I have to wash my hair twice if I have oiled my hair. I did not experience any hair fall after using this shampoo.
I wash my hair regularly but if you don’t you will need to wash it every alternate day with this one because your hair becomes flat after a day.
