Hey Girls,
Hope you all doing great,
Makeup Brushes are a must in our makeup bags; expensive or inexpensive there are so many choices for everyone. I don’t own too many high end makeup brushes at the moment because the one I have serves me best. Nowadays everyone is busy with shopping for Durga Puja / Navratra…and so am I ! Two days back when I was getting ready I realized, there are few brushes which I am yet to review. What’s better than to start with a big fluffy powder face brush from Real Techniques!!!
What Company Claims: Evenly apply powders and mineral foundations for smooth, high-definition results:
- look pixel-perfect even in harsh light.
- ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free
- self-standing for easy storage
- extended aluminum handle is light and easy to use
Price:$10.00 excl. Shipping. I got mine through Iherb.com and as you know DHL service has close relation with custom departments (pun included) and it made my shopping experiment ridiculously overpriced. I had to pay 1500 INR approx for a single brush.
My Experience With Real Techniques Powder Face Brush
I am a fan of Pixie-Nixie girls in sort pixiwoo and never miss any of their videos on YouTube. I had been watching their videos ever since I came across their brand called “Real Techniques”. Their brushes have created a great impact all over the world.
They are cheap (depends on where you live), and of great quality.
Those who don’t know they recently started taking online orders with very nominal worldwide shipping. It’s almost a year now I am using Real Techniques Powder Face brush and so far not a single bristle has shedded. Lucky me!
The brush has golden-copper colour aluminum handle with a velvet black base. The base is flat which helps in self-standing for easy storage. The handle is light weight and easy to use. The bristles are ultra soft, nicely hand cut made with taklon synthetic bristles. 100% cruelty-free.
The super soft taklon synthetic bristles feel very soft against skin. It gives you pixel perfect in harsh lightening too. The brush is densely packed and, designed to give smooth & even features even on rough surface. It’s designed for efficiency- Big Fluffy and moderately dense!!
The size of the brush is quite big i.e. covering my cheek area. The fluffiness gives enough coverage on single swipe.
This is my first ever Powder brush from Real Techniques along with other brushes like, expert face brush, blush brush, core collection set and expert eye brush set.
I keep buffing powder on my face and love how it pick proper amount of products and spread evenly on face, neck, collarbone area. It is not only a face brush but can be used on body as well. It is not superbly dense brush as you can see in pictures but that’s how I wish my powder brush should be. You don’t want to cover your face with powder all at once, therefore all face powder brushes are designed as fluffy and big.
Usage: You can use Real Techniques Powder Face Brush for applying mineral powder foundation, loose powder, and press powder. I also apply my press bronzers to buff all over my face and neck. The superb soft bristles pick right amount of products and apply evenly from center of the face and taking it outwards. It applies evenly and picks correct amount of products.
It is very nice and budget friendly brush to begin with. Cleaning is also very quick, although the brush is quite big and should take time to dry but I am amazed to see how fast it dries up! I sometimes use my MAC brush cleanser ( REVIEWED HERE) and sometimes give it a deep cleansing. I kept an eye on it and found that it takes 1 hour probably to dry up completely. But always remember to place the wet brush either upside down or lay them on dry tissue paper.
Turn On: Real Techniques Powder Face Brush
1) The price is definitely cheaper than any other makeup brushes in the market; of course the price depends on –how and from where you are getting it from.
2) The quality, the soft taklon synthetic brushes are really soft.
3) 100% Cruelty- free
4) Perfect for blending and buffing powder and bronzer without any harsh lines.
5) Can be used for face as well as body.
6) Easy to clean and dries up faster.
7) So far no fall out. The bristles don’t loose their shape.
8) No Shedding so far.
9) Synthetic bristles don’t irritate my skin like real hair bristles; I guess I am allergic to them.
10) Cheaper than Mac, Sigma, Yokohoma etc…
Turn Off: Real Techniques Powder Face Brush
1) Not available in India, that’s the only downside for me however you can now place the order from official RT site and other sites as well.
COSMOCHICS RATING: 4.5/5
“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”- Real Techniques brushes are now famous worldwide and those who want to start with cheap but good and fine quality brushes, this is it! You can act, play your role as a beginner with Core collection face kit and eye started kit. I highly recommend everyone and would love to collect more brushes from this brand. It’s worth every penny, I love and adore them.
