Milani Cosmetics launched their 36 new color statement lip colors last year which were a hit. Not only the shades are beautiful but most of them are close dupes of MAC lipsticks. I will list down few of them which I feel are quite similar to MAC lipsticks. I love Milani products because they are quite affordable and good in quality. I am currently using their liquid metallic eye pencils and brow highlighter duo. They are quite impressive and long wearing. I recently hauled 2 Milani lip colors and today it’s time for a Fuchsia shade mixed with flirt 😉 lol I mean its Milani Color Statement Lip color- Flirty Fuchsia.

Application: Begin applying from the center of your upper lips and work your way to the outer edges. Same application is used for your bottom lips.

Tip: Lipliner helps extend the wear & keeps your lipstick from feathering. When choosing a lipliner shade, match the lipliner to your lipstick shade or match your lipliner to the shade of your lips which will work with all your lipstick shades. Create a custom lipcolor by using a contrasting lipliner and lipstick shade.

My Experience WithMilani Color Statement Lip color- Flirty Fuchsia

Milani describes-“Flirty Fuchsia “as Red Hot Pink. It is medium dark vibrant berry pink shade and has blue undertone to it. The shade looks different on different skin tones, Flirty Fuchsia looks more berry purple on me. The shade has unique purple iridescent shimmer to it which when applied can be noticed slightly. This makes the shade so beautiful and caught my interest to pick it up. I don’t have such shade in my collection so far and thinking about the fall season, the dark, rich, vibrant bright shade is all we demand during!

The texture of Milani lipsticks is creamy but not too moisturizing. After couples of hours it tends to feel little dry but that may be because of change in weather from summer to winter. However the very first time I applied on my lips, I felt it same as MAC amplified finish which is smooth, creamy, shiny but neither drying nor hydrating, if that makes sense.

The pigmentation of the shade is very rich, honestly I never thought of such color pay off but Milani products are one of those drugstore brands which impressed everyone. It gives rich and opaque finish in just one pass. It lasts on me for 4 hours before fading. So far I saw no bleeding or budging without any lip liner.

The only downside for me personally is the scent- It has a ridiculous medicated fruity scent to it. That’s the first thing I noticed when I twisted up the bullet. Anything that has too strong artificial scent to it makes the product difficult for me to use it. I thought I will throw it off but when I applied the shade the scent disappeared the very next minute. I still wish they were scentless.

Lovely berry pinkish red with purple iridescent shimmer to it.

No smudging or bleeding.
I haven’t used any lipliner so far but it still stays intact.
It has smooth and creamy texture which glides on lips without any problem.
