MAC definitely knows how to lure their customers each time with new releases. I know everyone was waiting for Mac’s “The Matte lip Collection 2014”. It’s not new that MAC launches matte lipsticks every year before fall and this time too they released 8 new lipstick shades (all matte finish) including lip liners and blushes. Those who don’t know “The matte collection 2014” got launched on 14^th of Nov. Therefore keep reading the reviews, check the swatches and run to grab your shades.

What Company Claims: The Matte Lip is here to stay. Create a standout look with the fashion-forward new shades of our iconic matte lipstick. Vibrant hues like fuchsia Velvet Violet and La Vie En Rouge are a bold contrast to the rich burgundy of Fashion Revival and nude of Styled in Sepia. For the best in colour intensity, Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in super-saturated shades to make a modern statement. Go for the cool rouge of Trust in Red or boost it up with new Bespoken For, a dark, creamy plum. For a polished finish, accent with the soft, pinky hues of Pro Longwear Blush – long-lasting colour that’s purely fabulous.

My Experience With Mac The matte collection Fashion Revival

MAC describes – Fashion Revival as Deep Raspberry with Matte Finish. The shade is darkened raspberry and has neutral tone to it. This kind of shade is beautiful & looks good on every skin tones. The matte finish gives more wearable muted look. The bullet looks darker than the actual colour, kindly refer the lip swatches.

I am definitely going crazy over lipsticks and have no intension to stop myself.  The first time I saw online swatches of MAC Matte Lipstick collection 2014 – I knew this one is my shade and I have to get it for sure! Everybody knows how much I love dark, bright shades. I can tour whole world applying only one lipstick but that has to be bright and bold 😉 *drums roll* and don’t you think Fashion revival is perfect for this fall?

I felt the texture of this lipstick is slightly better than other shades. It is more creamy and comfortable on lips even after couple of hours. It has semi – matte finish which sets to matte right after application, goes smooth and glides on lips easily without any pulling effect. MAC matte lipsticks have this technology which gives you smoother application even it has matte finish (with few exceptions). Pigmentation is rock solid 😛 lol I don’t know why I used that “rock solid” word but it is highly pigmented. If given a choice to pick only 1 shade, let’s be it! The shade gives opaque coverage in single pass with no streaky lines. The application goes evenly with no dry feelings for 2 hours. It lasts on me all day but I noticed slight fading after 6-7 hours and demands little touch ups. Never mind it leaves a beautiful purple tint on my lips which look pretty and healthy. However do not forget our lips are very sensitive to dry/cold weather so prepping is important for matte lipsticks.

1)   The shade is something I never had in my collection – so yes, I love this shade.

2)   The creamy and smooth texture.

3)   Non drying effect, I will not say it’s moisturizing either!

4)   Highly pigmented and opaque coverage.

5)   Bright shade can immediately lift up dull face/ even dull life. Trust me! 😀

6)   Last on me for 7 hours with slight fading.

7)   Comfortable on lips that other matte shades from this collection.

8)   Price- which is thank god MAC dint increased because of collection.

9)   Quite dupable shade if you mix 2-3 shades, but hey who has time to play around in busy days.

10)  MAC scent is described as “Vanilla” *creepy me* (love it)

11) Limited Edition but if you run fast you may have your luck to grab one.
