I have heard great things about the Lakme CC Cream but having just two shades was a real bummer. I was always in the “shade is too dark or too light for me“ category, so we were simply not meant to be. Lakme has now introduced the Complexion Care Color Transform Face Cream that adapts to one’s skin tone, so I had to grab one. Unfortunately, the testers were not available and the SA told me that Bronze goes with well with most skin tones. Super excited, I opened the package to try my new cream and bammmmmm……I got the wrong shade *heartbreak*….but-but-but, Lakme sent me both the shades to try, and I am happy that I have Beige now (and of course 2 tubes of Bronze), it works perfectly for me.

My Experience With The Lakme Complexion Care Color Transform Face Cream:

The Lakme Complexion Care Color Transform Face Cream comes in a simple tube packaging which is quite handy and can be easily thrown in the smallest of your handbag without worrying about breakage or spills. The cream, when squeezed out of the tube is white in color with gray microparticles and the texture is thick with a strong fragrance, I like the fragrance, but it might irritate the sensitive skin type.

After you start blending the cream, is when the magic begins, it blends easily and quickly to transform into a color that adapts to any skin tone beautifully. Now that I have both the shades, I can say that they work across a wide spectrum of skin tones, as they adjust to your skin color after a while to give the most natural finish (We tested it on 9 people, seriously!!!). It’s really great for people who struggle with finding the right shade of base, especially with the drugstore brands that offer just three or four shades for everyone.

Coming to the coverage, it’s very sheer. The Lakme Complexion Care Color Transform Face Cream  brightens up your complexion giving it a dewy finish. It covers up redness or minor imperfections making the skin appear naturally beautiful. It’s best for that no-makeup-makeup-look but if medium or full coverage is what you are out for, then this is not your thing. Considering the coverage that this cream offers, I did not expect it to last for more than 4 hours, but to my surprise, it stayed strong for 6 plus hours on me which is really great. It offers a lightweight veil of brightness to the skin.

The moisture content is perfect for normal skin, if you have oily skin then I suggest setting your base with a mattifying powder and dry skin will need some moisturizer before starting off with this cream.

The Lakme Primer + Lakme Complexion Care Color Transform Cream + concealer = Perfect everyday base (I bought the primer along with the cc cream, will be reviewing it soon).So if you want a smooth face with a lit from within kinda glow, then do buy the primer along, the combo works perfectly together and the primer will also improve the longevity of the cc cream.

It’s basically a tinted moisturizer with an SPF 30 PA++, a great option for college or office kinda makeup or something to do that quick everyday makeup look under 5 minutes. Looking at the finish, color transforming feature, and the staying power, I’d say it’s definitely a great product at an affordable price.
