I like home made scrubs and face packs a lot. Some of the tips are given by my mother and some I share tips which were taught by my late grandmother. I read a lot online as well and try to incorporate these tips in my day to day routine. I have tested all these recipes and the measurement of the ingredients are according to my understanding. You can use the quantities as you wish , as there are no rigid rules here! Today I will be talking about walnuts which are high in vitamins and proteins. I also read somewhere that walnuts can provide a natural glow to your face.
If 4 walnuts are eaten daily! It makes skin look younger:)Now who doesn’t want to eat it? Huh?
So if you Are tired of using all those scrubs full of chemicals available in the market, then quickly switch to the world of “home made” luxury! Here is an easy way to make your own walnut and honey scrub which exfoliates your skin nicely and moisturizes it very well
INGREDIENTS–
1) 2 tea spoon WALNUTS
2) 1 tea spoon OLIVE OIL
3) ½ TEA SPOON HONEY
METHOD–
1) Blend 1/2 cup walnuts using a processor making it a fine scrub.
2)Store this powder in an air tight container so that the powder can be used when needed.
3) Now take 2 tea spoons of walnut powder and mix in it 1 tea spoon of olive oil and ½ tea spoon of honey (to seal moisture into your skin).
Make a paste by mixing all three ingredients.
4) Apply it in circular motion nicely and gently over your skin for a couple of minutes. Rinse it with warm water. Pat it dry.
“INFO ON A SILVER PLATTER”-Walnuts are rich in nutrients and great for skin.Walnut has huge amounts of vitamin E. It provides omega 3 fats as well, an essential fatty acid very beneficial to our body. It fights against various skin disorders like acne, Pimples, sunburn and itchy scalp and reduces inflammation as well. I have used this scrub a number of times on my hand and legs but not the face as my face is oily and the honey is particularly used for dry skin. After using this scrub I get a glowing skin which is very well moisturized. Now that dosen’t mean that I never use body lotion after scrubbing but still I can see the difference this scrub provided! Please don’t expect an immediate magic to happen, home made recipes take a little time to show results.
