My Experience With Colorbar All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick

The Colorbar All Day Waterproof Eyeshadows come in a retractable pencil kind of packaging with a colour coded end making it easy to locate the shade. The texture is super soft and creamy, in fact, they are so soft that they crumble on the slightest of pressure.
These eyeshadow sticks glide smoothly due to their creamy texture but the experience would have been 10/10, had they been a bit more creamy. This eyeshadow gives a little time to blend and work with it before it sets and stay on for the entire day without creasing or budging even on my oily lids. It does not feel heavy at all, it’s smudge proof, fade proof, waterproof and stays for 6-7 hours easily. They say that it can double up as an eyeliner but I could not use it that way because it is so thick, there is a sharpener provided at the end but the creamy texture makes it impossible to get a sharp tip for a liner and there is a lot of wastage too. If used with an eyeliner brush, I sure can get that use as well but not directly from the stick.
The shade 002 Blush is a perfect amalgam of copper and rose gold. This eyeshadow is highly pigmented but it has to be layered to get an intense colour. It has golden reflects, perfect for a glam eye look without doing too much. Just take some on your finger and swipe all over the lids for a wash of colour or build up for a more intense colour in case you want an elaborate eye look. I will be using this shade more for the inner corner of my eye.

I have used a black pencil (Sugar Twist and Shout) as a base and Colorbar 002 (Blush) lightly all over the lids with a winged eyeliner (Sugar Eye Told You So) and a little bit of mascara( L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Single coat) to create an everyday wearable eye makeup look and this can be done easily under 2 minutes.

I like the staying power of these eyeshadow sticks and if you like cream eyeshadows these make for a good option. There are pros and cons both to this product. Eyeshadow sticks are easy to apply and convenient to carry along (pros) but just for a single shade I feel that these are an expensive bet (con), invest some more and you can get a palette with more shade options. I see myself using it a little less than the other eyeshadows that I have, or maybe because I love to use baked or powder eyeshadows more than cream ones but if you do so then these are really long lasting.
